Interesting note: There are three generations of Burns pastors. Pastor Roger’s father, Rev. Carl Burns ministers in Covington, KY, as well as his son, Pastor Roger Eric Burns II, ministers in Jacksonville, NC.

Pastor Roger’s Life verse,

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

I came to North Carolina in September 2010.  Here is where I met my husband Ronny in 2011 and we married in 2012.  We have 8 beautiful

children and 2 grand-daughters together.  I was raised in church since the age of 5 and have been in ministry with my parents pretty much

since then.  I was saved August 11, 2002.  I have always had a heart for children and teaching them about our Lord and Savior.  While my dad

was Senior Pastor at Ashley Heights Baptist Church, my mother and I were over the children's ministry.  It has always been a passion of

mine.  I want to see out children's ministry grow and thrive and have a heart for the Lord!
